The Royal Priesthood and You

Last Spring, Walking Stick Retreats presented “Consider This”.  We studied the tabernacle and its meaning for us as a template of worship today.  We looked at our values, were taught new insights into the Old Testament, we made new friends and hung out with beloved repeat offenders and took to heart the admonition from Haggai to consider the way we live.  And we worshipped, oh, did we ever worship Him!

This September, we’ll be expanding this theme with Consider This 2.0: The Royal Priesthood and You. We are called in the Scriptures to be a part of the royal priesthood of believers, but what does that mean? How do you operate as a priest in your family? Your church? Your community? How do thankfulness and the ability to forgive set the foundation for your priesthood?

Join us for a weekend to disconnect from the world nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. From the comfortable hotel-style rooms to the beautiful and spacious stone chapel you are sure to find a place and a space where you can be still and draw close to God and others in a personal and private way that will usher you into His presence.

There will be worship, small groups, challenging interactive teaching and both a time to reflect and a time to experience community. It will be a weekend to remember.

Please plan to join the Walking Stick staff, old friends and new participants September 15 - 17th at Carson Springs Conference Center just outside Newport, TN as we will experience different ways to reflect and grow in our spiritual journey.
